Bristol Fashion Week

29 Sep

With my fashion favourite, Mark Heyes and the guru hairdresser, Andrew Barton we were served with a delight of high street favourites with a high-end fashion feel today at Bristol Fashion Week at Cribbs Causeway Bristol.

The comedy duo talked (and entertained) us through eleven scenes of a fashion feast of winter knits, urban metallics and edgy tailoring combined in a creative and high end way which challenged my original thoughts of how it was going to be.

My personal favourite was scene eight which was an unpredictable and brave mix of gothic cool and neutral shades with stunning cuts. I was very impressed with the overall look only to realise that the clothes were provided by Marks and Spencers and Clarks shoes! Wow! Clarks shoes and Hush Puppy shoes/boots I would never of guessed that these urban cool looks were provided from these labels. Mark proved that you cannot put these high street names into a box.

The show was a delight of vintage influence, bold colours, and a forecast of what Spring/Summer 2013 was going to offer us in terms of fashion. It was clear that Mark had had alot of fun putting this show together. Thanks to the guys at Cribbs for letting me come today!
